De Mello's Testament
I imagine that today I am to die.
I ask for time to be alone and write down for my friends a sort of testament for which the points that follow could serve as chapter titles.
1. These things I have loved in life:
 Things I tasted, fresh cookies made by my mom straight out the oven.
 Looked at, the pretty few of the Rocky Mountains, when I went there on a family vacation over the summer.
 Smelled, the fragrance of flowers on a spring day while taking a walk on the levee with my girlfriend.
 Heard, the music blaring during the Mardi Gras parades this year.
 Touched, the laces of the baseball as I was getting ready to throw a fastball to one of the best hitter in the league.
2. These experiences I have cherished: I cherish all the experiences I have with my grandparents and parents because I know they won't be around forever...
