Three Ridges Golf Course is a public golf course in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is set in the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains. Three Ridges was designed by Ault, Clark and Associates, a golf course design firm that has been modeling and constructing golf courses for 45 years. Knox County began construction of the course in 1989 and opened it to the public in 1991. The course is has an open guest policy and is open all year.
One of East Tennessee's premiere courses, Three Ridges is a difficult course with average yardage, a medium rating, and plenty of hazards. Three Ridges is not extremely long, as many challenging courses are. The longest yardage, the championship tees, is 7035 yards, while the tees played most, the middle tees, have a distance of 6075 yards. By comparison, the average length of a golf course from the middle, or men's tees, is about 6400 yards. The forward tees are the shortest on the course and play at 5060 yards...
