The illicit trade of small arms places weapons into the hands of terrorists and radical groups who shamelessly slaughter our people and create civil unrest. These groups threaten to dismantle the civil order our ancestors gave their lives to establish. Bangladesh stands firm in her principled position against terrorism and disarmment and believes these factors are reason enough for the people's republic of Bangladesh to fully support Sweden in taking affirmative action against the illicit trafficking of small arms
