Saturday had finally arrived and it was this day that my life turned around fully. It all began with the extremely long car journey into the island of Port Arthur situated in Southern Tasmania. I had been looking forward to this special day for over a month and it was hard to believe that we were finally on our way to this fantastic historic site. The atmosphere was very spooky from the way the long tree branches hung over the road adding a vicious touch to the nature.
Just traveling through the windy motion as the car was taking the bends gave you that eerie feeling of the convicts digging the road. After one hundred kilometers of driving, we had finally arrived at the Port Arthur Historic Site. As we entered the main entrance, we were welcomed and escorted to the nearest wall where unusual photos were displayed of white figures. The foreign tourist questioned these photos and went on about them loquaciously. I found it that the surroundings and shivery feeling behind my body enabled me to become intimate with the site.
Within ten minutes it became pitch black and we were in for the night of our lives...
