Management is a complicated process. It involves planning and decision-making, organizing, leading and controlling an organization's resources human, financial, physical and information, with the aim of achieving organizational goals in an efficient and effective manner (Griffin and Singh, ). Because of this, many people call it science. It is an organized body of knowledge, and it uses a lot of rules, methods and approaches to propagate itself. It conducts observations and experiments to find out if the entire process is running smoothly. Furthermore, it has theories and general assumptions to support day-to-day management practices and activities. These things add to the fact that management is indeed science. Yes, partly, this can be said. But I believe that management is more of an art, than of a science.
