There is a rich amount of evidence that have been found. Plato's two dialogues "Timaeus" and "Critias" are referred to many as reliable. However, many archaeologists have brought up conflicting theories to the location and time of Atlantis. Evans discovered the Minoan civilisation in Crete, which Frost and Marinatos have argued the Minoans are the Atlantean society that existed around 1450 BC. Cayce, Brown and Keyte proposed that Atlantis lies in the Bermuda Triangle and found archaeological evidence to show that it existed around 12000 years ago. Christianity, Buddhist and Hindu beliefs strongly supports the date brought up by the Bermuda Triangle's evidence. Therefore, it is still unclear where Atlantis may be but there is definitely a lot of solid evidence to prove its existence.
Frost's theory that the Minoan society on Crete could be Plato's Atlantis poses a huge problem. Firstly, he suggests that the island was east, not west of the Pillars of Heracles and that the end of the island was 900, not 9000, years before Plato's time so that Atlantis would be placed in the same time frame as Crete's Minoan society (which Evans discovered). However, by Frost to discard a zero is ludicrous...
