As everyone knows, child abuse is any mistreatment to a child that injures a child in any way, shape or form. Child abuse is divided into 4 types which is physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. Let me elaborate more about these four types of child abuse. Firstly, physical abuse includes anything that a parent or caregiver does that result in physical harm to a child. This may happen when the child is punished harshly even though when the parent or caregiver do not meant to do so. Examples of child abuse are hitting, beating, burning or biting a child. Emotional abuse is when a parent or caregiver constantly puts the blame or putting down a child such as excessive yelling and shaming. Where else, sexual abuse happens when a person uses power over a child and involves the child in sexual act.
