Personal Statement whether full time surveillance may be a threat to personal freedom. ( used in connection to George Orwell's 1984).
Our country was based on values. One of these essential values is called freedom. Politicians that say that if there are video cameras and full time surveillance installed everywhere that then freedom of the individual would be granted are liars. I personally think that not being watched all the time and having some privacy is an essential part of freedom. If you observe someone on a 24 hour basis that person can never feel completely free because she is not. If a politician recommends doing full time surveillance one should first of all recognize that being in the need of such harsh media is a strong sign that those who have been in charge of lawmaking have already done very significant mistakes doing politics. People who are educated and skilled in morality, ethics, human responsibility and who are successful in life do not interfere with the rights and the freedom of the other individuals of society therefore there is no need to control them. How people behave is to a very high degree connected to politics and to society...
