Malcolm defines the Uncle Tom Negro as a black who is in charge of overseeing other blacks. They would watch over those who were known as the Field Negroes. Malcolm believed that these Uncle Toms only spoke for themselves and not majority of blacks. They represented a brainwashed generation. White minded people who were ashamed of their own color. They didn't want to be identified with other blacks, and were always trying to lose their "black identity" by further integrating with the white man. The term Uncle Tom is just a Negro who has been programmed to keep other blacks in check.
Malcolm changed himself from a promising and talented student to a ghetto hustler. This happened because to whites treated him as a mascot. Despite this change he was never free of the white man...
