Starting at center was the 275 pound seven foot one inch sensation out of the University of Kentucky, Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain. Imagine being on a NBA court playing against this guy for 14 grueling years (1959-1973). The man was absolutely unstoppable in every aspect of the game, from scoring to defense; there was no way around him. Wilt Chamberlain changed the post position in basketball by showing dominance, changing the rules of the game, and being so intimidating.
When Wilt would stand up with his arms straight above his head they would reach a height of nine feet six inches. As for his strength, that was developed as a college and professional player. During his senior year of high school Wilt was a slender six foot eleven inch tall boy. Yet, because of his dedication to the game of basketball he knew that he had to gain weight in order to play on his college's team, which was Kansas. Wilt was a smart player and knew exactly how to maneuver his body and stay away from altercations.
