The individual Christian actively participates in politics like any other civilians. The church is purposeful in mobilizing its people for various forms of political participation other than non partisan politics. An ideal political scenario is were God's people are in both, a) non-partisan groups advocating for clean and honest elections, and b) partisan political parties campaigning for a leadership and platform of governance that seeks to provide a solution to our country's woes. This they actively pursue with a kingdom framework (being salt), where each persons' participation ensures that the group they belong too are not only "palatable" but more importantly, delays - if not free - from "decay".
The church as an institution (local churches) actively participates in the political exercise as advocates of an honest electoral process.
While the church is able to mobilize its people to actively participate, as illustrated above, she also provides avenue for her people to engage in non-partisan politics. Partisan politics is not in the institutional agenda of the church as the she has learned from history. The leaders, having known their primary call, advocates openly for a genuine and honest electoral process, and in no way uses the pulpit for partisan politics. However, the political parties are invited in the right time and forum to share their platform of governance. This they do because the leaders believe that their primary task is to empower the people to make the right choices, and not simply to tell the people who to vote...
