Another point that our group feels that prostitution should not be legalized, is that other than looking from the females' point of view, we got to consider the male's point of view. I mean legalizing prostitution is implicitly saying its ok for guys to go prostituting. However, it will impact the later generations of boys. Male will forever view themselves as the more dominant gender, and woman the more inferior gender as the male can treat them as a commodity. This will lead to the male getting more inclined to using violence to women as they have the mentality that with money they can do whatever they want to women.
Moreover, young boys those just entered the age of puberty will be encouraged to visit the prostitutes by their friends. And if prostitution is legalized, they would be less restricted when they turn to prostitution be it out of curiosity or peer pressure. This trend is unhealthy as it may become a habit or even worse these men may get addicted to it. This will detrimental to our society. As prostitution gives men sexual release, without the need for proximity or a relationship, these men who use prostitutes are unable to form satisfactory relationships...
