Affects of Music on Driving Ability
The study that I have read is about how listening to music while you are driving affects your ability and response to simple stimuli, such as red lights, pedestrians, and traffic signs, which were simulated in this experiment. Beh and Hirst, 1994, examined the effects of music on driving related tasks with an aim of investigating whether differences in the intensity of back round music resulted in differences in performance of driving.
Independent and Dependent Variables
The independent variables of this experiment were: no music, low- intensity level of music, and a high intensity level of music. ... Each subject was assigned randomly to a no music group, low music group and a high music group.
