What is the difference between a Seattle watch salesman and a politician? Not too much these days. Tim Eyman, a Mukilteo watch salesman is often referred to as a "tax rebel" politically speaking. Eyman was an average business man who found himself un-happy with many topics being "forced" on voters and he decided to take action. Eyman started writing his own initiatives. He was first thrown into spotlight with initiative 695; it sought to reduce car tabs to $30 for everyone in Washington. After I-695 passed, it was ruled unconstitutional, so Eyman conjured up a synonymous initiative, I-776. When going to vote, many voters asked, "Will Eyeman's proposal for cutting the price of car tabs take money away from the state that is desperately needed?" I have a feeling that it will not.
