Hinderance of the 14th Amendment

It is my belief that the passing of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution proved hinder the pursuit of equality more than it aided it. The passing of the 14th Amendment was more on a commercial level than it was on a level of striving to gain equality for all. Officials which were against integration and a sense of equality just found loopholes to get past the burden put on them by the 14th Amendment. Examples of these loopholes included Bradwell v. Illinois 1873, U.S. v. Cruikshank 1876 and Rosa Parks (Montgomery bus boycott). These are just a few examples portraying the ill effect of the 14th Amendment, following it's passing in 1866.
