Daycare is to subsidize for low-income families. Since it is based on the tax system, the easiest way for the federal government to help low-income families is to increase the child tax benefits. Recently, the number of working women and divorced people are increasing in Canada. They probably hope for a federal budget that will invest in building a national child care system. I think this point is very important thing in our society and I believe that we need supports for a universal day care system from a government. Here are some specific reasons.
First of all, daycare system for toddlers provides safe protective place for them to stay but also prepares them for the kindergarten that they will be entering soon. In fact, many families with low-income might be desperate because they need child care to work or study, and many children do not live close to their extended families. For example, the women who might look after them-neighbors, grandmothers, and aunts-are mostly working, so we need a place to be able to do daycare for children. While parents are at their work, the siblings of the family can watch the children but by sending them to the daycare allows the children to socialize with other kids in the age group and learn about other things that they will not be able to learn at home...
