Rizal: Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani, the title itself implies that the purpose of the documentary is to show the life of Rizal as hero. Here, Rizal is shown to be an exemplary figure that commends our respect. In every angle we look at him from the documentary, he is a true hero. Probably shown as too much of a hero that we see him as someone more than what he really is.
Deciding whether the documentary is good or bad really depends on the point of view of the viewer. The documentary accomplishes its goal in portraying Rizal as the nationalistic and patriotic hero of our country. We see a general summary of his life- his life- his youth, his accomplishments, his sacrifices, and his martyrdom. Watching it makes me undermine the efforts of Bonifacio. In this aspect, I can conclude that the documentary is good.
