The twelve years, from 1933 to 1945, when Adolf Hitler was the dictator of Nazi Germany stand out as one of the most monumental periods in the twentieth century. One man with extreme imperialistic ambitions led to the deaths of millions of people. His hunger for world domination reshaped the world order to the one we know today. Its frightening to think that if it were not for some rather elementary errors spooned by personal arrogance and deep psychological distortions he could of been even more successful in his mission of destruction and world domination.
In 1939, Germany's Third Reich brought Europe into a state of total war, between the military prowess of the Germans , the lack of preparedness and the early ineptitude of the allied forces; German victory seemed assured. The unprecedented speed of Germany's victory over France, the success in the British front, and the slow response of the Russian military made Hitler's imperial ambitions appear attainable. In the early 1940's, however, the cracks began to appear.
A number of factors led to the deterioration of the Third Reich, and the eventual collapse of the Axis's collapse in 1945. One such factor, was arrogance the imprudence that became a trademark of Hitler as due to the ease of his victory over France. His policies began to increasingly reflect his personal beliefs and fears and stray away from sound military strategy...
