Many revolutions were occurring between the 1750's and 1850's. People were revolting to have rights, to end slavery, and especially to gain independence from the colonial power. Brazil was one of the countries of Latin America that wanted independence, but this movement had some differences. First, Brazil's revolution for independence was the only one that went peacefully. Brazil, among all the Latin America colonies that wanted to gain independence, was the only Portuguese colony. Due to the circumstances, Portugal nearly gave the Brazilians their independence without a fight. For this reasons and others, the revolution of Brazil for independence was bloodless and peaceful.
During the 19th century, there were many revolutions for independence around the world. Each colony, seeing how the others were gaining independence, also wanted theirs. People were being influenced by the others, and were wanting the same for them: to be independent...
