During the Nineteenth Century in France, crime had become a huge problem. It seems that the crime outbreak in France came from a few different causes with most of them being results of the French Revolution. ... Crime is an everyday thing in any society but crime outbreaks have been seen arising after revolutions in a couple instances in history.
It is, in my opinion, it was the fault of the French citizens and government that crime became a problem in their country. I believe that the majority of the blame, however, should be placed on the French government. ... I think this basically caused any ex-convicts to return to the lives of crime they previously lived. ... Even if these people did have a job, they were more likely to return to a life of crime because of their financial situations.
The issue of ex-convicts going back to their old life is seen, not just in nineteenth century France, but it continues to this day.
