Choosing a school for your child.
A. Choosing which school to send your child to is one every parent has to make and it will probably be the most important decision any parent will have to make for his or her children. However, is it as simple and straight forwards as it seems?
Before parents can make this decision they firstly have to decide on which type of school to send their children to, an independent or state school. There are many aspects to be taken into consideration before this choice can be made. Independent schools are expensive, with a majority of them quite selective and apply selection tests in order to judge the intelligence of the children.
Apart from the preferred education sector, there are also the factors to think about. Do you to send them to a mixed or single sexed school, as a day pupil or a border, a religious or non-religious school? Do you send them to the school within your catchment area regardless of its reputation or place on the league tables or do you send them further afield?..
