ANON achieves this by investing in staff to encourage and accommodate individual learning. We have a corporate Training & Development Centre and a system in place to monitor and evaluate all staff in the form of an annual Performance Review and a Personal Development Plan. This occurs each year in March where objectives for the year are agreed between manager and employee using corporate competencies to assess individuals.
The Cabinet develop an annual Cabinet Business Plan, which is translated into the Business Group Service Delivery Plan's. The plans state tangible actions designed to improve performance hit budget targets and implement change. These are cascaded to all sections and into each individual Performance Plan in the form of targets.
The Council run mandatory corporate training called Performance Reviews for Reviewers and Performance Reviews for Reviewees for all staff to attend. This encourages consistency in the approach to individual development and standardised goals...
