The Area 51 Controversy
Many people have heard of Area 51, but only little is known about what really happens there. Area 51 is a secret US Air Force base along Groom Lake in Nevada. Its located 130 miles north of Las Vegas, surrounded by the Nellis Air Force Base to the northwest and west, the Nellis Bombing and Gunnery Range to the East, and the Nevada Test Site to the South, it is excluded from all environmental regulations and its budget is completely classified. Some people believe that Area 51 is a testing facility for America's most secret military machines, everything from the F-117 stealth fighter to electromagnetic pulse weapons (Area 51). Many people believe that Area 51 is where the Air Force keeps its pile of captured flying saucers. Area 51 remains the center of controversy over UFO existence and government denial.
Area 51 lies in Groom Lake, Nevada. In the 1980's the base increased in size, along with the runway. After this happened people began to notice lights appearing from the base. Armed guards known as the cammo dudes started patrolling the border (Area 51)...
