The Truth Hurts
Michael Moore's documentary "Bowling for Columbine" is tragically horrifying and tragically truthful all at one time. This movie proves that the United States is crippled with fear and violence. The United States has fallen into an obsession of violence and guns. In Moore's documentary he interviews everyone from victims of the Columbine High School shootings to Charlton Heston, the National Rifle Association's president, all trying to resolve the United State's obsession with violence and arms.
On the day of the Columbine shootings the two killers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, attended one class: Bowling. In the movie "Bowling for Columbine" Michael Moore interviews a man whose shooting range consists of bowling pins for targets. The man said he used bowling pins for targets because their shape is as close as one can get to a human body. Does this explain why Eric and Dylan enjoyed bowling class so much or is it just another dead end? Eric and Dylan could have skipped all of their classes but they attended bowling class, maybe America should blame bowling for the shootings.
Moore depicts on America's violence in the best manor possible and that is with humor...
