Certain scientific advances such as sex change operations, euthanasia, abortions and cloning do all raise ethical issues, in certain communities. The most out spoken members of our community are religious groups such as Christians and Muslims.
Sex change operations can seem like short term fixes for who feel uncomfortable in their sex but the problems, after they have had the transformation they are left to face the world but they are not prepared adequately as to how society will perceive them in their new gender.
We are entering a dangerous world where we seem to be taking our knowledge too far and using it to our advantage for quick fix measures for our own mental or physical problems.
Religious groups see the technology of sex changes a direct defiance of God's world, creation and true meaning of eternal life. Do we have the right to decide what sex we are for the improvement of our day to day lives? I think not.
Societies have to live with the development of technology and its implications on life. But the people who suffer the most are those who lie in the hands of the new technology...
