1 Pre-made tape from the free-fall apparatus
Procedure:
Method I:
1) Choose a starting point on the tape, and from that point label your points, 1, 2, 3, K, n.
2) Obtain the distance between two successive points.
3) Obtain the average velocity over each of these distances
where time interval
4) Obtain the successive changes in average velocities, , to compute the acceleration
Method II.
1) Plot a graph of velocity, , versus time .
2) Draw a strait line that best fits the plotted points
3) Determine the slope of the line. Take five different readings
4) Compare the result with the theoretical value of
