The "Second Coming" written by William Yeats and the cultural novel Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe are magnificent pieces of literature that convey ideas on political, religious, and social systems and the characters that operate within them They both show how the progression of chaos in time is caused by change and eventually leads to an end.
Keats explains how chaos is activated by change, "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold."(Second Coming, Line 3) Okonkwo could be the center and when he becomes lost , him and his community falters. Both cultures lose sight of their similarities and can't find a common ground.
