Racism has been a very big part of the Untied State history. In the past there was segregation to the point where black people was not allow to sit in the front of buses or restaurants or even use or drink from the same water fountains. Here are some of the people that fought for the right that many black people have today. In Montgomery, Alabama (December 1, 1955) tired Rosa Parks sat in the middle section of bus that was reverse for only white passengers. When a white passenger needed the seat Ms. Parks refuse to move the driver of the bus call the police and Ms. Parks was arrested. When the black community heard what have happened, they held meetings spread the word that no blacks should ride the buses.
