Paul Revere, was an acclaimed silversmith and an American
Patriot. His work varied all across the field of art and because of it he
helped stir-up enough Americans to rebel against the English.
At the age of 13, a young man, by the name of Apollos
De Revoire, a French Huguenot, came to America to pursue a silversmith
career. After years of training, Revoire had established his own business,
and became a new advocate in the silversmith business. Some time after
immigrating, Rivoire, anglicized his name to better fit the new American
culture, to Paul Revere. Years later, he met his soon-to-be wife, Deborah
Hichborn, a daughter of a local artisan family (Biography). After marriage,
Paul and Deborah, had at least nine and possibly as many as 12 children.
The said to be second or third born child, the Revere's, named the baby
after his father. Paul Revere Jr. was born January 1, 1735, in North End,
Boston, Massachusetts...
