 Massage Therapy:
o A practitioner applies manual techniques (soft tissue manipulation)
ex. Holding, causing movement, and applying pressure to the body.
Lomilomi massage:
o Lomi Lomi is an ancient healing art practiced by Hawaiians.
o Traditionally, the massage is done with the receiver laying on the floor or ground on a hand-woven mat.
o The massage is done using the finger, palm and elbow strokes.
o Kukui nut, macadamia nut and coconut oils are used as lubricants and nutritional moisturizers during the massage.
