Nazi powers began to cultivate during WW2 inflicting fear upon the rest of the world. Hitler’s strategic efforts would position him as Chairman of Germany making him one of the most dangerous men in power. At the time Germany was depend on success and we The United states believed that they possessed ability to create a weapon that could win them the war quickly. As soon as word got out Our President at the time Roosevelt ordered immediate action. The United States needed something more or as powerful than any other offense capability. They need The Manhattan Project to serve as a counter strike if anything should happen during the war. The nuclear age had begun; this would change the outlook on life, because it carried the ability to end all life. ( 6/1) In order to successfully build a working atomic bomb you must first understand physics. It was believed that if you bombarded the element uranium with neutrons, you could literally split the nucleus of the atom. By doing so this process is commonly known by physicist as Fission, or splitting. Albert Einstein was the one who conceived the equation E=mc2 (energy equals mass times the speed of light squared). Even though Ernest Rutherford was known as the Father of the nuclear age, his research would be eventually passed on. It was Albert Einstein that would reveal the possibility of an atomic bomb exploding.
