As part of a class assignment I was required to watch Michael Moore's film, "Bowling for Columbine". The movie had a great impact on me. I have really never had an opinion about gun control in the United States.
I grew up in Montana, less than 75 miles from the Canadian border. I learned to shoot as a child, and I took the usual hunters safety courses that all kids did when I was young. I was given my first gun at the age of 12, a savage bolt action .22. I guess all of this says I grew-up around guns and had guns as a young man. I still own that .22 and an antique shotgun, though I haven't fired either of them in several years...
