In the novel Hamlet there are many foreshadowing events that cause ongoing
themes through out the play. One of the most obvious themes through out the play
is death. Over the coarse of the play death is concerted from many different
perceptiveness.
After Hamlet's fathers death, Hamlet becomes very interested in the fact of
death. The since of death always seems to be on his mind, whether it be the
spiritual world of ghosts, the aftermath of death or just physical reminders of
death all around him. Because of Hamlet's father's death Hamlet became very
depressed and excludes himself from the outside world. This was a large reminder
to death, particularly suicide. Which most all of the Prince are famous speeches
relating to the subject of suicide. In his most famous speak "To be or not to
be" He questions himself very deeply about suicide, and this being his only way
out. Is it nobler to suffer life, "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,"
passively or to actively seek to end one's suffering?..
