Throughout Egypt’s ancient times, the Egyptians made a lot of great achievements, such as developing their own method of surveying to build the pyramids, and making the first calendar. The pyramids of Egypt, being the oldest and only surviving structures of the ancient wonders, were built with great skill that today we still don’t know all about. These ancient wonders were built from 2700B.C. to 2500 B.C. Taking 100,000 laborers, about 2.3 million blocks, and 20 years to build just one. One of the many theories about how the Egyptians built the pyramids is, the limestone blocks were dragged or pushed by the crew up mud-slicked ramps. One example of these wonders is in Giza. The mammoth Khufu pyramid, also known as the Great Pyramid, stands at about 450 feet and covers about 13 acres, it is the first and largest pyramid in Giza.
