I write this letter with the deepest sadness and grief for one of the most brutalised and tortuted inhabitants of our country. ...
the subject i speak of is fox hunting and as you have already gathered i am indeed very much against this Blood-sport. i understand you must recieve colossal amounts of coresponence concerning this matter so will not fool myself into thinking that this letter will sway you so easily, but i write with conviction that portrays my feelings and with belief that you will read this with an open mind. ... despite a much shared belief that fox hunting is humane and painless, the real truth is much more grotesque. ... this causes an unnecessary long and painfull death for the fox through disembowelment, not the quick, clean way hunter would have you believe.
