The Tree That Never Ends
When a tree discovers that it can make leaves, then the tree will not stop making leaves or will not stop trying to find new ways of producing leaves faster and better. The tree would never give up and it would live forever. The textile industry works in the same way, they will never end. Textiles were born many years ago, but the modern industry started in the 1700 in England. When the first industrial machine was invented during the industrial revolution, people started to make more machines or tried to find new ways of producing textiles faster and better like the tree with its leaves. The historical background of industry can tell us the evolutionary processes, which have brought about the machine age in which we live. During the industrial revolution textile manufacturing expanded and improved. Textiles started to be and to grow in a more productive way, with a better quality and with a greater cotton demand.
In the industrial revolution the same number of people produced more products than before. The effects that helped productivity increase were: (1) The quantity, (2) the skill of labor and (3) the resulting economy of operation (Alford 38)...
