The development of the atoms was a very important discovery to people. Many chemists/scientists were part of these discoveries. It took many years to figure out what an atom really is. Most of theses scientists won many awards for discovering different parts of the atom. Democritus was one of the first scientists to think of what atoms are. He was born on 460 B.C. and died on 370 B.C. He made up the atomic theory, which states that matter is composed of small, indivisible particles, which he called atomos, meaning “indivisible.” Aristotle was the next person to talk about atoms. He was born on 384 B.C. and died on 322 B.C. He believed that matter was infinitely divisible. He also said that objects were composed of matter and form. Dalton was born on Sept.
