Blood Brothers is the autobiography of Elias Chacour. Elias Chacour was born in 1939 in the city of Biram in Arab Palestine. He was born into a Melkite Catholic family. Even though Palestine contained Melkites, Jews, and Muslims, there was peace and the different religions got along. Then the Zionists Army started to move in and form an Israeli state in place of Palestine. Elias Chacour's family and the citizen's of Biram were tricked by the Israeli Army into leaving their homes and going into the mountains until it was "safe" to return. After a long while with no word, the citizen's of Biram tried to go back to their homes but the Israeli soldier's turned them away and gunpoint. They had been tricked out of their own city and were told they would never return. Elias Chacour and the families journeyed to the nearby town of Ghish, only to find it too had been abandoned. A mass grave was found near the city containing the former citizens who had all been massacred by the Israeli Army...
