Inherit the Wind is a film from decades ago that deals with a basic concept still dealt with today. It challenges the viewers to examine their own ability to listen and think alternatively. The basis of the film has to do with understanding yourself and who you are. It takes an approach of simple-minded people and demonstrates what happens when you practice closed mindedness.
Inherit the Wind bases the story around a handful of characters who are playing lead roles. The producer uses, Burt, a high school teacher professing the existence of man from evolution. He is found guilty and tried by the town for breaking the rule of professing God and his magical works as reason for man's existence.
Throughout the trial we begin to see the strong hold that something, like religion, can have on one's ability to think openly. Col. Drummond and Col...
