I have never met or seen Terri Schiavo in real life, but I know so much about her. I now know about how she lived just like you and me before all this happened too her. I found out about her tragic collapse in 1990 following a sudden heart attack, resulting in a five-minute depletion of oxygen to her brain and about her subsequent trauma, her bedridden state, the malpractice lawsuit initiated by her husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, and the $750,000 award that was made for Terris medical care and rehabilitation. I also found out about how her so-called husband denied Terri the most fundamental medical treatment, allowing her condition to get worse, and about his team of "experts" who see no difference between a handicapped human and a houseplant. Im aware of how that team has assigned Terri to a "persistent vegetative condition," which is practically saying she has now use for life.Theres a trial going on in Clearwater, Florida where Terris parents are fighting a desperate battle to keep their daughter alive. Theres the husband, legal guardian and holder of the $750,000, who wants his wife dead, quickly. Only it wont be quick for Terri Schiavo. Terri cannot eat on her own which means she will starve to death. She is not in a comma or on a respirator...
