Introduction
Dell was founded in 1984 by Michael dell, which is the longest-tenured chief executive officer. Its headquarters are in roundrock, Texas. Dell was set up with the simple concept of selling computer systems directly to the customer, this direct business model eliminates retailers that add unnecessary time and cost. Selling direct to the customer also gives dell a greater understanding of customer expectations. Dell is able to build every system to order at a competitive price. Also they can introduce the latest technology much more quickly than other companies because of their direct channels of distribution. Revenue for dell in the last four quarters has totalled $41.1 billion and the company employs approximately 46000 team members around the globe.
