The role that Hollywood plays with our understanding of the past has become a problem because of the interpretations they present in their movies. Historical inaccuracy has always been present in Hollywood and in this movie these inaccuracies run ramped. In the movie Tombstone there are many historical inaccuracies that it presents throughout its presentation. The way in which the movie portrays the west is not exactly how it was back then. The major problem with the movie is that it presents many inaccuracies with Wyatt Erpp and his gang. The movie presents many fallacies about the old west and how life really was with cowboys. Tombstone demonetizes the west by interpreting it as an extremely violent place but in reality the west was not exact ally like it was portrayed as. This movie, like many other movies, has to have a romantic theme intertwined in it to appeal to the emotions of the viewer, unfortunately this leads the directors to use a more artistic point of view and this commonly leads to inaccuracies in historical movies.
Many western outlaws were not the way as they appear on screen. The gun duels that are represented were not exactly how they happened...
