Research Paper: "Legalization of Drugs"
One of the biggest problems the country has is drugs, and if we can't fight them, we're going to have big problems. Plus if drugs could be legal the government could cash taxes from the drug dealers, and drug dealers could became companies such as Marlboro or Bacardi, and some money wouldn't hurt Mexico. The objective of this research paper is to try to prove that it is the best thing to do. Drugs should be legal in Mexico.
The problem with abuse of drugs appears in the 70's and in that moment the authorities didn't think it would become such a problem. The problem increased in an amazing amount and totally uncontrolled worldwide, including Mexico, until the government of Salinas started to take some actions against it.
Economically speaking it is known that drugs generate lots of money, now imagine that this money could generate more employees. For example it is a fact that Marihuana is the main illegal drug consumed in Mexico "La marihuana es la droga que se comercializa de manera ilcita de mayor consumo en Mxico" (Salinas R. 2003), imagine now that the profits of this business could go to a legal company. If drugs could be legal then there would be companies that would produce and sell this type of drug, this would result in lots of money and employees for the country...
