The inequality between men and women causes family conflict, and this is a leading reason that family breakdowns occur. Family breakdown occurs because one spouse feels that something central to the marriage no longer exists, possibly the sharing of one aspect such as responsibility (Fox, 2001). This is the case due to the ideologies of the relationships and approaches that each gender may be expected to have when entering a marriage. ...
