Cinderella: Cholo’s Necklace On an island in the South Pacific, there lived a tall, dark-haired, fair-skinned man named Cholo. When he was three, his mom died of small pox. His dad remarried to a wicked woman who had two sons, Rufus and Remus. Cholo’s dad then died when he was out fishing on a canoe and a storm came. After this, Cholo was treated like a slave. His stepmother hated him and his stepbrothers made fun of him. Rufus would often scatter the wood that Cholo cut and stacked. Remus would lock Cholo out of their hut so he would have to sleep on a cold, damp, stiff pile of palm leaves. His stepmother didn’t try to stop her sons from their cruelty. One night when Cholo was sleeping, he had a dream. A man with long silver hair was levitating in front of him. The man said in a firm but soft voice, “ Your life will change very soon.
