As much as I love rap music, you can't listen to this type of music if your having girl problems are if your trying to get your freak on with your girl. I have to have a few slow mix in my CD case just in case I in that loving mind set. Dave Barry states it perfect, "When I'm singing alone to "Shut Down," I'm no longer a middle aged guy driving to the laundry to pick up shirts; I'm a seventeen , and it's a summer night with tantalizing possibilities of adventure and romance (Dave Barry Bad pg. 389 March 2000)." That's the way I feel about it to, no matter the age you are everyone feels the touch of a love song and that's what I get when I listen to R&B music. Richard Brookhiser says, "If the music is crude and blank , does not some of it's crudity and blankness infect the experience, and the memory?" Yes to me if all you listen to is crude and blank music it will put you in that type of mood. That's why I like R&B music, because when I'm with a girl or I'm in a bad mood R&B singers like Jagged Edge, 112, and Usher have the lyrics to either change my mood or help my mood.
