I remember not too long ago, a group of my friends and I were gathered at a youth
conference in Dallas, Texas. We were there to compete in several different competitons that
were all related to the book of Matthew. We were having such a great time, goofing off and
mainly just acting like a bunch of teens away from home and parents normally do... pretty
thoughtlessly.
As the afternoon wore on, I happened to notice a kid all by himself. once I thought
about it, he had been pretty isolated the entire time we were there.
Some of the kids I was with remarked on how stupid the gut looked just because he
was a little different looking and didn't dress like most teens. My first instinct was to join in on
the laughter, but then I gave it some more thought.
What were we doing in Dallas, anyway?..
