Case study: The coffee market and the globalization.
Abstract
The essay tends to expose how the issues raised in 'The Lexus and The Olive Tree' are likely to impinge upon the process of contemporary management and especially the coffee market. Indeed the coffee market is one of these markets with banana or chocolate where the impact of globalization is the most remarkable maybe because it concerns very common goods, used every day. Through this essay different aspects of globalization will be developed linked with the main theories of Friedman. Starting by a quick presentation of the key words (globalization, coffee market, 'The Lexus and The Olive Tree'), I pursue by the exploration of the coffee market and its implications as well as the small producers of Africa or South America.
