Project Achieve Background
Project Achieve, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Stacey Boyd, a former teacher and principal. Project Achieve is a suite of software modules designed to integrate all management aspects of a schools operations. The vision of the company is to develop a product that will bring all the key players involved with a childs academic development together through web-based solutions. Boyd felt that communication and connection between all parties involved with the student would enhance the success of that particular student. With both parents in the workforce these days it makes it difficult to communicate with teachers and administrators during the day, but with the connectivity of the web-enabled software students, parents, and teachers can virtually stay connected at anytime of the day.
The company's flagship product, ACHIEVE, is used by K-12 schools to maintain key information about students - such as grades, attendance, discipline issues, student monitoring (via State standards), and parental contact information - in a secure and integrated, Web-based file that can be accessed by any authorized person. By eliminating redundancy and maintaining student information in a central repository, ACHIEVE saves teachers a great deal of time compared to traditional attendance logs and manual grade-entry systems. ACHIEVE also helps automate the process of monitoring and analyzing student performance against state standards.
