Flat Tax for the Future

       It is time for a change in the tax system and that change may have to be a complete overhaul the current complex procedures. I believe in the flat tax and that it may be what the country is looking for. The current tax system is unfair and does not help our economy in fact it may hinder it. A flat tax plan is a simple solution to remedy the complex system we have been accustomed to for seventy years. A flat tax would make calculating and collecting very simple. It would also save the government a lot money on administration and collection costs, which in-turn would save the tax payer money. The overall economy in this country will grow under the flat tax proposal and continue to become more stable over time.
       According to studies the current tax code produces large amounts of waste, between all the forms and the time put in to tax collection every year it adds up. The IRS publishes 480 tax forms every year and then has to put out 280 forms to explain the original ones. (Armey,Shelby) That is far too much wasted time and money...
